Eating Organic Reduces Pesticide Levels in Humans

A study published in the journal Environmental Research found that switching to an organic diet significantly reduced the levels of synthetic pesticides found in all participants after less than a week.

Laws of Abundance Part 3 Going the Extra Mile

Most people work a job. And on that job most people don’t put their all into it. They figure since the company doesn’t pay them much, why should they work that hard? So it goes into a cycle of what I call “trickle blessings.” You work, you get a paycheck and you work, you get a paycheck. You might even get a pay raise, but it’s not that much; and it’s not really keeping up with what you need. So the cycle continues. Let’s break out of this with the Laws of Abundance working in our favor!

Going the Extra Mile goes back to Roman conquered lands. When Rome controlled Israel it was occupied by Roman soldiers. When a soldier needed something carried, they would look around and tell a citizen to carry it for them. By Roman Law they were required to carry it one mile. Jesus taught his followers to go the extra mile. So if a follower of Jesus was asked by a Roman soldier to carry something for them, they would go more than a mile as a witness. In other words they did more than the minimum even though it wasn’t required. They went beyond the minimum. Very unusual in those times to go more than a mile for a reviled Roman soldier. You might feel the same towards the company or your boss as they did towards the Roman soldiers. “Why should I, they don’t even pay me to do this?” Know this though, going the extra mile in the service of others, whether on a job or in a business of your own, makes you get noticed. When you get noticed for going beyond the call of duty you’ll start seeing that trickle of income increase into a steady stream. Then if you keep it up, that stream will become a current, and from a current into a rapid, and from a rapid into a flood of financial abundance!

I learned this principle in my mid 20’s after watching a Napoleon Hill black and white video series called Think and Grow Rich. Back then I had a Lawn Care business. At the end of the video, Mr. Hill challenged me to test it out and try it for yourself. I took the challenge to heart and looked for an opportunity to “Go the extra mile” for one of my customers, Mr. Burks. He lived on San Antonio Street and he was my only customer on that street. It was a front and back yard that wasn’t too big for $20 per visit. I mowed and edged his lawn and packed up my equipment in my pick-up truck and then noticed that his plastic garbage cans were cracked and leaking out the trash. He had two of them. I found my opportunity. I rushed to Lowes and bought three new hard plastic garbage cans (this was before trash companies had the big trash cans that they supplied so they could pick them up with a truck fork). I took the old ones and put the new ones in place. Just as I was about to leave the homeowner pulled into the driveway with his car and saw I was putting his old broken trash cans into the back of my pickup. So I told him I had finished up his lawn and “By the way, you have three new trash cans.” He was pleased and asked, “How much do I owe you?” I answered “Nothing at all.” He asked if I was sure, and I said: “Oh I’m really sure” (thinking about how someway this may end up being a blessing for me but not sure how). So he paid me for the lawn work and I was on my way. In two weeks his neighbor to the left of his house stopped me as I was doing Mr. Burks lawn and asked how much I would charge to do his front lawn only? I gave him a quote and he hired me to do it every other week. The following two weeks as I was mowing Mr. Burks lawn, his neighbors to his left and then the neighbor to Mr. Burks right decided to be my customer too. A week after that, Mr. Burks neighbor across the street wanted me to cut his hedge once a month. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

So, now like Mr. Hill, I challenge you to test “Going the extra mile.” You may not find that the abundance comes from the person you give to, but you will notice it coming in possibly from other sources. Break the cycle of “trickle blessings” and bring in the flood of abundance instead.

Part 2: Laws of Abundance- Seeing Abundance Around You

Perspective is a powerful thing.
“It is entirely possible that behind the perception of our senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware.” – Albert Einstein

As I mentioned in Part 1 the Introduction to the Laws of Abundance, abundance is all around us. We just have to take notice. We can start with nature. Let us look at birds to start with.

So Colorful

Look at the bird above. It’s as if a Master Painter painted him. An orange beak with a touch of orange all around the eye with a little white and black by it and green on the forehead, chest, and part ways running down his back. Then a blueish color for the rest of his body with yet a little dot of orange towards the very bottom as if a bit of orange paint dripped of the Masters brush. I’d say this bird has abundant color! Most male birds do. Simply splendid!

Now lets look at a tree:

Pine Tree Up Close

Look at the up close pine tree above. Notice the abundant needles in one small section of the whole tree. Now think about how many needles there must be on one single mature pine tree? It’s mind boggling, isn’t it!?

Let’s go back to birds again for a moment. Did you know a chicken hen can lay between 200 to 300 eggs a year? Abundant isn’t it?

The next time you are tempted to think there isn’t enough, at night; find a very dark place outside with no lights and look up at the Stars.

Stars fill the night sky

Just this one picture above is only a small glimpse of the stars the fill our night sky. And this is just one small section of the sky. Plus we know that there are stars we cannot see with our own eyes from Earth. There is an abundance of stars, isn’t there?

Let’s look to the sea next.

A school of grey fish

The photo above is just one of who knows how many schools of fish in the ocean. Once again, abundance!

Next, lets make it a bit more home. How about a person?

An average scalp has 100,000 follicles. Each follicle can grow about 20 individual hairs in a person’s lifetime. Amazing, when you stop to think about this one aspect alone. But let’s look at more:

The average adult human brain has about 100 billion cells. Linked by synapses, each brain cell can connect to tens of thousands of other brain cells.

And as you can imagine, I could write a whole book on the abundance of the human body in different aspects such as skin cells, nerves, the miracle of the human eye and all the colors it can detect. Marvelous, aren’t we?

Some people take it overboard in looking at nature and start worshiping it as if it’s the creator. In all of natures splendor, it is God who is the creator. So worship the creator, not the creation. ”
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. ” – Romans 1:25

Let’s appreciate nature, but let’s remember who made it.

When our eyes are open to the abundance around us, we start to realize just how much abundance there is. But what about our own lives? How do we get to this type of abundance?

Laws of Abundance Part 1 Introduction

Abundance: Noun –

an extremely plentiful or over sufficient quantity or supply: an abundance of grain.overflowing fullness:abundance of the heart.affluence; wealth: the enjoyment of abundance.

Lots of Walnuts

There is abundance all around us.
God is a God of abundance and the author of abundance. Look at the sky. Can you count the stars? How about the sand? Look at how things grow. Look at a walnut tree. Does it just produce one walnut and it’s done? Of course not. As a matter of fact, a mature acre of walnut trees can produce up to 6000 pounds. That is approximately 672,000 walnuts! There is abundance all around, even in the desert. The desert is a lot like life itself. At first glance, all we see is dry soil that seems to be unproductive. But when we look more closely, we find an abundant source of life.
There is abundance all around you, do you see it?
If you don’t have abundance in your life, there is a reason. Usually, it’s because there is a violation of one or more laws.
What do I mean? I’m glad you asked. For example, God teaches us to be in debt to no man except to love one another. We violate this law when we go into debt using credit cards and don’t pay off the full balance each month.
Another law is the law of giving. To receive abundantly you must give. If you never give, you’ll receive little to nothing. (Ecclesiastes 11: 1 & 2). There are many laws that God has set into place for our abundance. We act according to His will, we are blessed. When we don’t…well, it won’t go well.
There are so many fascinating laws. When we pay attention and know how they operate, then we can get our lives in alignment with them for a good life, an abundant life.

…Spend your time bringing your life into harmony with divine law. Work on overcoming evil with good, falsehood with truth, hatred with love.” – Peace Pilgrim

We can find the laws of abundance in nature because of who made nature. God. We can find the principles of the law of abundance in His life manual. We call it The Holy Bible. I have witnessed many people throughout my life, and the majority of them that have abundance is because they have aligned themselves up with the principles of abundance even if they didn’t know it. The only other instance I’ve seen of abundance is from people in power that have stolen from others, and their abundance does not last, or their lives don’t last long. So, the abundance I’m referring to is the abundance that will bring joy and peace with wealth, not obtained by ill-gotten ways that don’t bring lasting happiness.

Principle: Having more of something doesn’t make you happy for long. Most people think “If only I could make more money, then I’d be happy.” What happens? You make more, and you’re still not happy. Choose to be happy now. Once you do, when you do have more, you’ll still be happy, and if that more goes away, you’ll still be happy. Having more of something only brings an emotion of happiness for a very short period. When you are happy now, it transforms into joy. When we find joy, then that is lasting happiness. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10. It’s more than an emotion, it’s a state of being. How do we get this joy? It’s found before verse 10.
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. When you understand the laws of God, then that will bring joy because then you’ll be understanding the nature of God, and God Himself. When this happens you begin a relationship with Him, in knowing how good He is, and how He has the best for you in His intentions for you. ”
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. ” – Jeremiah 29:11 Once we know Him, (not just of Him) we are grateful. When we are grateful we draw to us abundance, including wealth. Let me make it clear here so you don’t misunderstand me. I’m am not saying that a person that doesn’t possess wealth must not know God otherwise he/she would have abundant wealth. There are many people who we consider poor because they don’t have material possessions, that are very wealthy. Many choose not to have possessions, and that is alright too. Also, there are other ways to measure wealth other than possessions. A person that lives in a country where there is little to possess, but daily has plenty of food in some manner, would be considered wealthy. Others perhaps that have clean water, would be considered wealthy. Wealth and abundance is a relative term.

What we are talking about here in this introduction is really the first step in abundance. Your thoughts. Bringing your thoughts into obedience to the will of God. This is really where we must all begin. For if we refuse to open our eyes and see the abundance around us, we will never have it, and the only way to see it is to change your thought process. Reading the Laws of Abundance will not make you abundant. But reading, knowing, and aligning your life to the laws will bring abundance into your life. So, without further adieu, lets begin:

Part 2: Laws of Abundance- Seeing Abundance Around You

What to Eat to Feel Young

Beautiful hair and skin don’t have to be a thing of the past. Certain food you eat can help you feel young.

Sirloin Steak

Photo by Benjamin Davies on Unsplash

So many articles are online about the negative effects of red meat. Ahhh! Here’s one, at last, that is a positive of eating red meat:

Hair becomes thinner as you age, but the iron in red meat can help yours stay lush. Iron-rich proteins produce keratin, which gives your hair its elasticity and shine. Even though a 3 oz serving gives you about 10% of your daily iron requirements, it’s easier for your body to get iron from meat than from plants.

Cashews

Photo by Jenn Kosar on Unsplash

Cashews are my favorite type of nut.

Bone loss can start as early as age 30 (wow!). So start fighting it now. Cashews are a good source of magnesium. 60% of your body stores of magnesium are found in the bones. An ounce a day will give you about 20% of your daily dose.

Carrots

Photo by Heather Gill on Unsplash

Besides keeping your eyesight good, they are good for the skin too. They help ward off wrinkles. Carotenoids help reduce the damaging effects of aging including the loss of collagen which helps your skin stay smooth.

Red and Purple Grapes

Photo by Eiliv-Sonas Aceron on Unsplash

Red and purple grapes have compounds that work to prevent the buildup of toxins. The antioxidant pterostilbene helps destroy harmful microbes in your body and also they help rid your body of unhealthy inflammation.

Wolfberries

Here’s one that most Americans don’t know about, but I can guarantee you that most Chinese do. The wolfberry (especially the Ningxia wolfberry) are high in antioxidants and vitamins A and C.  Great for your whole body. Many Centerians live in the Ningxia province of China. They are known to eat wolfberries and make tea from it too. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons they are able to reach past the age of 100? Many still walk well and work on their farms!

Surprising Things about Skin Cancer

Photo by Toa Heftiba on Unsplash

20 percent of Americans will eventually get some form of skin cancer. The majority of us know to wear sunscreen daily, stay out of the sun during the peak hours of 10 AM to 4 PM, and ditch the tanning salons. But there are some other surprising things to know about skin cancer:

The Umbrella At The Beach:

Yes, you should be using an umbrella at the beach if you are kicking back enjoying the wonderful sounds and feel of the beach. But don’t let the Umbrella be your only source of combat against the suns rays. The sun and water are reflecting the suns rays so an Umbrella is not enough. You also need to be wearing sunscreen. When applying remember your hands, neck, ears, and hairline. Reapply every two hours.

Your Alcohol Consumption:

A study published in the British Journal of Dermatology found that the more you drink the higher your risk of skin cancer. Why? Because alcohol lowers antioxidant levels in your body, which means you have less natural protection against UV rays. Of course if you drink a lot it can impair your judgement and make you forget to get out of the sun or put that sunscreen on in a timely manner.

**The Financial Cost Factor of Skin Cancer

Skin cancer Screening: $55

Biopsy and Pathological evaluation: $410

Follow up visit: $140

Cost of Stage 1 melanoma, which normally included removing the affected area. $2,265.00

Cost of Stage 4 Melanoma which could include surgery and further treatment such as chemo or radiation: $73,249

The Link Between Bread & High Blood Pressure?

Photo by Helena Yankovska on Unsplash

A Canadian survey of more than 2,000 white, wholemeal, and mixed grain type breads found that some of the brands had up to 1,050 mg of sodium per 100 g (3.53 oz) which could equate to about 2 pieces of bread depending on the type of bread. This does not include what goes into a sandwich, such as lunch meat, salted butter, cheese, etc. which of course could add even more to the salt intake!

The Problem: So what’s the big deal about this amount of sodium? Besides for it being fattening because sodium causes the body to retain more water, but even more serious is that too much sodium (the daily limit is 2,300 mg) can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

The solution: Look for bread that is 35 mg per slice or less. Or even none!

Suggestion: Einkorn from YL

A BIG CHANGE IN BLOOD PRESSURE

The threshold for high blood pressure has officially been lowered from 140/90 mm Hg to 130/80. “We reviewed the data and found that the risk for cardiovascular disease nearly doubled in the 130s over 80s, compared to a normal blood pressure which is still considered less than 120/80,” says Robert Carey, M.D. vice chair of the American Heart Association’s guideline writing committee.

Crap Food vs Good Food/Crap Oils vs Good Oils

Guess which is cheaper to buy? Crap food or good food? Crap Essential oils or good essential oils? You got it, the crap is always cheaper. Why? Because it’s easier to obtain and make crap than what is good.

Here’s an example of Salmon. We all know by now that eating Salmon is good for you because of the omega 3’s that are found in Salmon. What many people don’t realize is, that there is crap salmon and good salmon. What do I mean. I’ll show you:

Which looks healthier to you?

Salmon from a Salmon Farm
Wild Salmon

Which one look like it’s a better healthier environment to get Salmon from? Doesn’t common sense tell you the Salmon found in the river where the water is running clean? If it doesn’t it, you’re in denial because of price. Wild Caught Salmon is much healthier than farm-raised salmon that has been found to have higher levels of crap (One example would be anti-biotics are used in farmed raised salmon that is passed on to humans as we eat them. This can cause gut problems and to some allergic reactions. ((1 &2)). Also,
A pilot study published by Canadian scientists last year showed that farmed Canadian salmon contain ten times the PCBs of wild Alaskan and Canadian salmon. PCB’s are carcinogenic.

1.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25918444

2.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23035919

I myself would rather pay more for wild caught salmon than crap farmed raised salmon. Even from the picture above, you can see the wild caught looks so much more healthier than the farmed raised. That’s because it is. Why risk your health to the containment’s proven to be found in farm raised salmon.

Salmon is only one of the hundreds of examples, where paying less doesn’t mean a better deal. Note: Even though farm-raised salmon has been found to have higher levels of Omega 3’s, because of the crap, it’s much better to pay more and skip on the farm-raised containments that have been proven to be found in farm-raised salmon and eat healthier instead. Especially if you are eating salmon more than once a month.

What about Essential Oils? It’s the same principle. There are crap oils and then there are good oils. Crap oils are not pure, they are designed to fool you because some crap oil companies add synthesis to make it smell even better than pure oil. Because essential oils are not regulated, we have to be our own investigators. (In my opinion, the FDA does a poor job in protecting our health in what is already regulated by them and so we should be our own investigators anyhow). So, what this means is, you could buy a bottle of what you think is pure therapeutic essential oil and not even know that it’s not pure even if the bottle says it’s “pure therapeutic”. That’s really messed up, isn’t it? So, IF you are a person using essential oils more than just to make your house smell good, but to actually benefit from the use of essential oils (no matter what the method of use, inhalation, topical, or oral) then you should be doing your due diligence and not just believe what it says on a bottle, because your health matters. For example, all of us know that inhaling car exhaust is not healthy. If you have a car running in your driveway and the window open, after smelling it, you quickly close the window. Not only because it stinks but because you know it’s not healthy to breathe in. But what about other things that we inhale such as plug in’s, air freshener sprays, household cleaners, and the such? Most of us don’t give it a second thought that these too can be detrimental to our health even though we are just smelling them. The truth is, it matters what we are inhaling, what we are putting on bodies and what we are ingesting orally.

So, how do we tell a good oil from a crap oil without being a scientist? Good question, I’m glad you asked! Here are some suggestions to tell the difference:

  1. How was the Oil distilled from the plant? Was it cold pressed? Was any type of chemical used? Was it steam distilled?
  2. Where did the oil come from? Can you trace it’s origin? This one principle could reveal volumes if it’s a crap oil or a good oil. For example I was at one time in my life, curious about eggs. I discovered that free range chickens produce the healthiest eggs to eat. But there is a trick in the industry that I discovered. You read “Free range” on the carton of eggs you are about to buy in the grocery store and your imagination goes to a nice beautiful red barn farm where the chickens are outside scratching in the dirt and running around laying eggs. So I decided to look up one local “Free Range” chicken farm and see with my own eyes how they are raising their chickens. When I pulled up to the farm from the street, I didn’t see one single chicken outside. Instead they were in a building that had frosted windows with no way of seeing inside. Perhaps and I can only assume they had some sky lights where the chickens could get some sun light from time to time. This was not my idea of “free range”. Needless to say, I started buying local eggs where I knew the farmer was raising chickens that actually were outside moving around. (Disclosure: That farmer has recently stopped selling eggs and I’m currently looking for another provider). At the very least when it comes to investigating essential oils companies, can you find them online with pictures of their farms and the methods they are using to grow their crop?
  3. If the oil could be normally used orally (such as Peppermint essential oil) but the bottle you buy says “Not safe for oral use” or “Do not use orally” that would be a red flag telling you that this is a crap oil and do not trust it for any type of use (orally or otherwise).
  4. Is it mixed with another type of ingredient? This one might be harder to answer because most of us are not scientists. But has there been any type of testing done that you can find out about? Even the purest essential oils should be tested for its purity and constitutes because of environmental factors such as soil, water, the air, and even when the plant was harvested and the time frame of distillation. With plants there is a prime time of growth that a plant should be harvested to get the oils at it’s peak, providing those that use it the best essential oil they could possibly use. Certain crops you need to let dry naturally in the sun for a certain amount of days and if you wait too long they can go bad. Or if there was excesses moisture in certain crops it could be a factor in distillation, which some crops need to be distilled immediately after picking. All these are factors in providing the best of the best essential oils.
  5. Speaking of soil, was the plants grown in soil that hasn’t been raped over the years, or synthetic fertilizers used for at least the last 50 years? Is the company transparent about these factors on their website or literature or is it not gone over about at all?
  6. Is the type of oil the best type of oil to use out of it’s family? For example there are different types of Frankincense oil on the market. Which one is the best to use? You have to study to find out.

I know it’s easy and cheap to buy crap food and crap oils that are so much cheaper than the good stuff. But if you are the type of person that wants what is healthy for you, then you’ll study and find out which is the best on the market and why. Don’t just buy what’s cheap, when it can possibly compromise your health. Instead, spend the extra if need be and get what’s good for your body instead. It will be worth it in the long run.

Feeling Angry Often?

man holding telephone screaming

85% of people feel angry a few times a week. There are lots of possible causes and what we can do about it is what I want to help with. So let’s go over a few:

  • One of the main causes which I myself really have to watch out for to not be angry or grumpy is Hunger. If you wait too long to eat your sugar levels drop which kick in the hormones for fight or flight and that can cause you to be angry. Solution: Eat a healthy snack. That will bring your blood sugar back up and make you feel a lot better.
  • You’re Sleepy: Plenty of studies have linked a lack of sleep with irritability and anger. Solution: The obvious. Get more sleep. The times you simply can’t, consider drinking a tub of Ningxia Nitro. It’s all natural and it reduces brain fog.
  • PMS– Come on ladies, you know this can affect your mood. Solution: Be aware of your cycle by keeping track. (There are apps that can help with this). Also I understand that there is a product from YL that can help with this: It’s called Progressive Plus Serum. Check it out.
  • Overworked: I’m not one of those that say “You always have to have balance.” I believe that is a fallacy because there are going to be times where we have to throw all our focus in our work. Then other times, we level back off and have time for family and work. (Unless you’re a workaholic which is an entirely different issue). What to do: Take mini breaks and mini vacations. Sometimes we get the idea that we have to take this grand vacation to relieve the stress of being overworked. While a grand vacation is wonderful to take, a mini weekend getaway and many times even a day getaway will do just as well, and sometimes even better.
  • One of the secrets I’ve used is two fold to keep my anger away or at least in control. One is to pray. Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. The other is a combination of essential oils called Stress Away. Both have worked wonders in my own life.

Try to keep things in perspective and think to yourself the next time you are feeling angry “In long run, does this really matter?” Sometimes this question will allow you to diffuse your anger right away.

I hope some of these tips help you in reducing or eliminating anger from your life.

Are you still lost and wondering what an essential oil is? Check out this blog post that explains just that.

Here is YL’s Website.

With so many choices of essential oils and essential oil-infused products, where do you start?

The best deal is to have our Premium starter kit. It’s like getting the oils at 50% off plus it comes with a diffuser.
